Do I need to be present at collection?

Yes. The registered keeper must be present to hand over the vehicle and sign the required DVLA paperwork unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance.

Do you charge for collection?

You will need your V5C logbook if available and proof of ID. If you do not have the V5C, we can still guide you through the correct DVLA process.

Do I get a Certificate of Destruction?

Yes. If your vehicle is scrapped at an Authorised Treatment Facility, a Certificate of Destruction will be issued and the DVLA notified.

Do you inform the DVLA?

Yes. We handle DVLA notification to ensure you are no longer legally responsible for the vehicle.

Can I scrap a car without a logbook?

Yes. You can still sell or scrap your car without a V5C, but additional ID verification will be required.

What happens to my car after collection?

Your vehicle is either recycled responsibly at an ATF or dismantled for parts where appropriate. Hazardous materials are removed safely in line with UK regulations.
